ELAC

ELAC logoEnglish Language Advisory Committee (ELAC)

ELAC is a parent advisory committee that meets monthly to discuss English Learners' needs and programs.   The committee advises administration of instructional programs and services to support and meet the needs of English Learners.  Administration takes ELAC advice to School Site Council (SSC) for consideration and approval.  SSC approvals are then brought back to ELAC by administration as part of a looping process between the 2 committees.   In addition, ELAC parents have training opportunities and receive information on instructional programs and school procedures to build their capacity to better support student learning.
